You have three main ways we
can meet, each designed to suit
your needs and preferences
In Person
Face-to-face sessions at my Richmond practice
Experience a sense of calm in beautiful, woodland-themed therapy rooms in the heart of Richmond upon Thames. Just a few minutes walk from Richmond station, this relaxing space is ideal for face to face sessions.
Perfect for: Clients who live within easy reach of Richmond who would prefer to engage in therapy in a conventional, therapeutic setting.
Address: Vectra House, 36 Paradise Road, Richmond upon Thames, London, TW9 1SE
Nearest stations: Richmond Station (District Line, Overground) — 7 minute walk
Bus routes: Multiple routes from Kingston, Twickenham, and central London
Parking: Waitrose multi-storey or Paradise Road multi-storey. Alternatively on-street parking is available around Richmond Green.
Online

Secure video meeting
Sessions are delivered securely online, on a day and time convenient to you. I usually recommend we meet at least once in person before committing to online sessions exclusively. There's strong evidence that face-to-face contact helps establish the initial therapeutic alliance and cements our working relationship more effectively than online-only work from the start.
Perfect for: clients who travel frequently, live outside Richmond/Kingston, or prefer the convenience of home.
Walk-and-Talk Therapy

Outdoors
Not everyone feels comfortable in a therapy room, and that's completely fine. Walk and Talk therapy is a fast-growing approach where we meet in an outdoor, mutually-agreed space. The natural environment often supports greater openness, calm, and movement.
Suggested locations:
• Richmond Park
• Along the Thames Path
• Other suitable green spaces by mutual agreement
Perfect for: clients who find nature grounding, prefer movement, or feel claustrophobic in rooms.

In Vivo Exposure Therapy
For specific situations where meeting in the client's real-world environment is most effective. This might include:
Suggested locations:
• Social anxiety (practising exposure on public transport or in busy environments)
• Agoraphobia or mobility challenges where leaving home is difficult
• Other situations where real-world practice is clinically indicated
Note: Outreach sessions carry a separate fee structure, which we can agree during consultation.

“Spending time in natural outdoor spaces nurtures our physical, emotional and spiritual existence, enabling us to sense, think, feel and act as interdependent beings, interconnected with the whole community of life.”
- MICHAEL J. COHEN
